Welcome to Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet! - a night of 70's and 80's funk, soul and disco classics for people who remember the tunes first time round and still want to party.
It's a fact of life that most clubs are geared towards 18-30's but that shouldn't mean that the rest of us have to sit on the sofa in our slippers on a Saturday night or start wearing head to toe beige.
I decided to start Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet! after a disappointing attempt to go dancing with friends. After queuing in the rain for one West End club we decided to call it a night before even getting through the door. At Haven't Stopped Dancing Yet! you can buy your ticket in advance. There's no one deciding if you are are cool enough to get in. Dress-up, dress down - the choice is yours.
Our playlist features Aretha Franklin, Chic, Sister Sledge, James Brown, Barry White and all those songs that have us turning up the volume, reaching our arms in the air and boogying around the kitchen or doing embarrassing in-car dancing whenever we hear them - including, of course, the 1978 hit by UK band Gonzalez after which we take our name.
